The Office of Medical Education & Research supports the PHS Mission to provide patient-centered, high quality, cost-effective health related services by:
 

Offering continuing medical education activities in a fiscally responsible manner to members of the PHS Medical Staff and other physicians in New Mexico;
 

Help in supporting the education of medical students/residents/fellows;
 

Supporting members of the PHS Medical Staff in conducting clinical research and to protect PHS patients as potential human research subjects in accordance with the FDA regulations;
 

Supporting the physicians, staff, patients and their families in effecting difficult ethical decisions.
