The Next 100 Years

Just as Reverend Hugh Cooper 100 years ago was making plans to build the tuberculosis sanatorium that would become Presbyterian, we continue to plan and invest in the future healthcare needs of New Mexicans.
We remain committed to our not-for-profit philosophy and we will remain locally-owned and community governed so that together we can invest, serve and commit to New Mexico for the next 100 years.
Although healthcare has its challenges, we're optimistic about its future. In 2009, Presbyterian Medical Group will roll out an electronic health record for patients, and it will be the first step toward a new era in which patients and members have secure electronic access to their critical health information. We firmly believe that we can bring innovation to healthcare that will arrest rising healthcare costs and improve quality.
Of course, at the core of what we do will always be caring, dedicated women and men who serve our fellow New Mexicans. We'll continue to do that in our hospitals and medical offices and in tomorrow’s hospitals – like the one we will build in Rio Rancho.
We are excited to be a part of the next 100 years in New Mexico healthcare.
