Presbyterian to Host Community Health Forums
PRESBYTERIAN TO HOST COMMUNITY HEALTH FORUMS
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – On Tuesday, April 3 at 1:30 p.m., Presbyterian Healthcare Services (PHS) will host a community health forum for Sandoval County residents at Rust Medical Center in Rio Rancho. The event is free to the public and New Mexico First is facilitating the forum.
On Thursday, April 5 at 1:30 p.m., another community health forum will be held for Bernalillo County residents at the United Way of Central New Mexico Training Center in Albuquerque.
PHS has worked with all of its hospitals and its board of directors to conduct community needs assessments and develop health priorities that affect New Mexicans. Three community health priorities have been identified: healthy eating, active living and tobacco cessation.

It is important that community members, local healthcare providers, hospital administrators and public health officials share their thoughts about community-based initiatives that can improve the health of community members.
