SCCCSHD Board

Marion Vigil, Chair

Ms. Vigil has been active in area politics, education, and the hospital district for many years. A native of Springer, she knows the community and its people well. Ms. Vigil works as the Administrator at the Luna Vocational Technical Institute Springer campus.

Steve Briggs, Vice Chair

Steve has been on the SCCCSHD board for more than two years. He works as a Supervisor with the New Mexico Highway Department and lives in the French Tract section of the district. He is the Fire Chief of the French Tract volunteer fire department. Steve is committed to assuring the hospital district provides the highest level quality health care to these rural communities.
  

Bill Conley Secretary/Treasurer

Mr. Conley, owner of Conley Investigative Services and Associates in Angel Fire. He has 32 years experience in Law Enforcement, retiring as a Captain from the Albuquerque Police Department to become the first Police Chief for the community of Angel Fire. Mr. Conley remains active in numerous associations such as Past President of the Sheriffs' and Police association, Police Chief Association, President Angel Fire Search and Rescue, Rotary Club, Veterans Memorial Board and Chairman Colfax Republican Party for Colfax County.
 

Wayne Baker, Board Member

Mr. Baker has been with Philmont Boy Scout Ranch for 25 years. As the Camping Ranger, he is involved with all aspects of the operation. Mr. Baker is the Cimarron Ambulance Director and has been an EMT for 23 years. He is also on the Philmont Fire Department as a volunteer. President of Philmont Search and Rescue, served on the State EMS Advisory Board and was president of the Northeastern New Mexico
EMS Council. He was also a Board member for the New Mexico Search and Rescue Council.
 

In Memory of Howard Meserve, Board Chair for 24 years

A long-time resident of Maxwell, Mr. Meserve brought a great deal of knowledge and enthusiasm to the district board. Since retiring from teaching, he remained active as a volunteer firefighter/EMT Instructor. His contributions to our hospital district include leadership, fund raising efforts, general oversight of the district budget and services and representation on the Presbyterian Healthcare Services Board.
