Colfax General Long Term Care To Host Open House At Newly Renovated Facility

Event Date: March 14, 1999

Springer, NM -- Colfax General Long Term Care is having an open house on Sunday, March 14, 1999, to celebrate the completion of its remodeling project. The event will be from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., and will include free health screenings, door prizes, a magic show, face painting and refreshments

The project was partially funded by a $75,000 grant from the Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation in Albuquerque. The grant was used to purchase new furniture for the resident rooms at the 32-bed nursing home, as well as the dining area and the solarium. The facility also features color-coordinated patient rooms, a big screen TV, a family visitation room and new tile. This is the first major renovation since the late 1970s.

"We are excited that we had the opportunity to update our facility in order to continue meeting the long term care needs of Colfax County residents," says Bill Norris, administrator of Colfax General Long Term Care. "We appreciate the support of the community and the Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation in making this project a success.
