$336k Check to Quay County

Quay County has received $300,000 from a federal Community Development Block Grant to support the replacement of the original roof on Dr. Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital. Presbyterian Healthcare Services, which manages the County-owned hospital, has been invited to the County Commission Meeting on Monday, February 23 to present an additional $336,000 check to the county that will help replace the hospital’s aging roof. Presenting the check will be C.J. Wiegel, chairman of the Dr. Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital board of directors, and Hoyt Skabelund, administrator of the hospital.

Quay County applied for and received the grant, thanks to the extraordinary effort by County employee, Misty Vick. Presbyterian Healthcare Services, which manages the County-owned hospital is also pleased to contribute an additional $336,000. Dr. Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital has been serving Eastern New Mexico for more than 44 years. This federal grant will make an enormous difference in the hospital's ability to invest in the infrastructure of this hospital for decades to come It is a great example of federal, county and the private sector coming together for the good of the community.
