Hinton Awarded UNM Alumni Association's Erna S. Fergusson Honor

ALBUQUERQUE, NM -- Jim Hinton, president and CEO of Presbyterian Healthcare Services accepted the 2007 University of New Mexico Alumni Association's Erna S. Fergusson Award last Thursday, February 8.

The Erna S. Fergusson Award (formerly the Award of Distinction) is given in recognition of exceptional accomplishments and commitment for distinguished service in New Mexico.

Hinton received his bachelor's of arts from the University of New Mexico and a master's of health care administration from Arizona State University. He has been with Presbyterian for 24 years and has the distinction of being New Mexico's longest tenured healthcare CEO.

Hinton has served on many local boards such as the New Mexico Hospitals and Health Systems Association, Albuquerque Economic Development, Albuquerque Economic Forum, United Way of Central New Mexico, New Mexico First and Acción New Mexico and was the 2005 chairman of the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
