The Cancer Center At Presbyterian Adds New Services

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Presbyterian Healthcare Services is pleased to announce that the new Cancer Center at Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital is adding medical oncology and hematology, in addition to surgical oncology and radiation oncology services.
Together with the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Radiation Treatment Center at Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital that began providing services to patients in April 2007, the new medical oncology services will add depth to the growing Cancer Center at Presbyterian.
The medical oncology team includes three board-certified hematology/medical oncologist, experienced oncology nurses and staff. The team will be led by board certified hematology and medical oncologist, Mitchell Binder, MD, medical director of the Presbyterian Oncology Program. Together with the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Radiation Treatment Center at Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital, the Cancer Center at Presbyterian will be able to provide a full-service cancer program serving New Mexicans.
"I believe in an integrated approach where we are able to offer a service that can cover all lines of cancer care,” said Dr. Binder. "We want to develop a comprehensive program that will increase more choices for medical and radiation oncology treatment by providing New Mexicans cancer services at one location.”
Patients can schedule an appointment by asking their primary care physicians for a referral or they can call 559-6100. Office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
