Special Features

Presbyterian Healthcare Services offers a Post-Graduate Year One Residency Program accredited by the American Society for Health-System Pharmacy. The residency offers a flexible program designed to provide the residents with unique experiences in clinical, administrative, and patient safety practices. Written and oral communication skills are emphasized throughout the program. The resident will gain experience teaching through inservice presentations and serving as preceptor for pharmacy students on clinical rotations. Required and elective rotations include:

  • Cardiology (general and intensive care)
  • Adult medicine (general and intensive care)
  • Pediatrics/neonatology (general and intensive care)
  • Infectious disease
  • Oncology
  • Managed care
  • Anticoagulation
  • Teaching and precepting
  • Ambulatory care
  • Practice management
  • Skilled nursing
  • Emergency medicine
  • Palliative Care
