Chocolate Sauce

Ingredients:
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- ¼ cup water
- ½ cup light corn syrup
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1 teaspoon instant coffee, crystals (optional)
- 2 Tablespoons sifted powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
- Combine cornstarch and water in medium, heavy saucepan.
- Whisk until cornstarch is completely dissolved.
- Add corn syrup, cocoa, instant coffee and sugar. Stir well.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, for about 5 minutes or until thickened and bubbly.
- Stir in the vanilla.
- Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature for best results.
Yield: 1 cup
