No-bake Oatmeal Bars

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup margarine (soft tub)
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup frozen orange juice (not
  • reconstituted)
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 Tablespoon wheat germ
  • ¼ cup sesame seeds
  • 2 cups quick rolled oats
  • ¼ teaspoon salt (optional)
  • ½ cup chopped nuts

Directions:

  1. Melt margarine in saucepan.
  2. Add sugar, orange juice, and water.
  3. Stir until sugar has dissolved.
  4. Add wheat germ, sesame seeds, salt, oats, and nuts.
  5. Spread mix in 9-inch square pan oiled with vegetable spray.
  6. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  7. Cut into 36 squares.
  8. Best served slightly chilled.
