Creamy Crab Dip

This creamy spread tastes great on Melba toast or wheat crackers. Make 2 hours before serving and chill. Enjoy the good taste of crabmeat without covering it with heavy dairy fats.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup 1 percent cottage cheese
  • ½ cup light cream cheese
  • 1 can crab meat
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped green and red pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Drain the cottage cheese in a strainer and rinse with water.
  2. Press the curds until they are dry.
  3. Put the cottage cheese into a blender with the cream cheese and blend at high speed until smooth.
  4. Add all other ingredients and stir well.
  5. Chill for at least 2 hours.
