Party Mix

A lower fat version of a popular snack -- and it is not out of a bag! Don't even mention that this treat is also high in fiber. Plan to double the recipe! 

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups popcorn -- no added butter, air popped or low-fat microwave kind.
  • 1 cup Rice Chex or Crispix cereal
  • 1 cup Cheerios cereal
  • 1 cup Bran Chex cereal
  • 1 cup pretzel sticks
  • 2 Tablespoons margarine, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic sauce
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

Directions:

  1. Combine first five ingredients.
  2. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
  3. Combine margarine and Worcestershire sauce and drizzle over the mixture and toss well. Sprinkle with garlic salt and onion powder.
  4. Put mixture in a shallow pan and spread into one layer.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes, stir twice.
  6. Let mixture cool in the oven.
  7. Store in an airtight container.
