Crunchy Oatmeal Wafers

These whole grain cookies make a great snack when you are craving something a little sweet.
Ingredients
- 1½ cups rolled oats
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup whole wheat flour
- ¼ cup firmly packed brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted margarine, melted
- 1 Tablespoon maple syrup
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Mix together the oats, flours, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt in a medium-sized bowl.
- Add the melted margarine and maple syrup to the dry ingredients, mixing well.
- Drop the dough by teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto lightly greased baking sheets. Bake for 8 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Remove the cookies from the oven and let them harden on the baking sheets for 2 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool.
