Welcome Dr. Herbert V. Rachelson, Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon
Herbert V. Rachelson, MD, is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and specializes in ski and sports injuries with special interest in knee and hand surgery.

Dr. Rachelson received his medical degree from the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium.  In 1977, Dr. Rachelson started a private practice in Taos, and joins the Presbyterian Medical Groupin Espanola from a private practice in Albuquerque.

New Pediatric Endocrinologist

Presbyterian welcomes Kathryn Dixon Ness, MD to Española Pediatric clinic. Dr. Ness graduated from the University of Virginia with a

 

 BA in Interdisisciplinary Studies. She completed her medical training, pediatric residency and pediatric endocrinology fellowship at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She also served as a clinical instructor there and holds a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation.

We are very fortunate to have Dr. Ness at the Española Pediatric clinic at 1010 Spruce Street, phone 505-367-0360 on Wednesday and Thursday of each week.

 

 

Welcome Paul Trombley, MD

The Española Hospital Multi-Specialty Clinic welcomes Paul Trombley, MD, to our growing family of physicians. Dr. Trombley is board-certified in pediatrics and has special interest in caring for the medical and behavioral health needs of adolescent youth.

Dr. Trombley received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee and completed his residency in pediatrics at the University of South Alabama. During his residency, he provided entertainment to hospitalized children at USA Children's and Women's Hospital. He recently relocated to northern New Mexico from Indianapolis, where he improved the health of children and adolescents through his hospital-based practice.

Dr. Trombley is now accepting new patients. To schedule your child's first appointment, please call 505-367-0360 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, or stop by our offices at 1010 Spruce St. in Española.

For urgent problems, call the Multi-Specialty Clinic numbers during office hours and we will try to schedule your appointment on the same day. For all other cases, we will give you an appointment to see our doctors as soon as possible.

About Your Insurance

Española Hospital provides services for customers of Medicare, Medicaid, Salud and most other major insurers, including Presbyterian Health Plan, United Healthcare, Lovelace, Cimarron and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. In most cases you will be required to make a co-pay at the time of your visit. If you do not have insurance, our Business office will help you make alternate arrangements.

Getting A Referral

Before making an appointment for a specialist, call your insurance company to see if you need a referral. If they give you a referral number, please bring the referral number with you when you visit the doctor.
