Presbyterian Transplant Services offer evaluations for Kidney Transplant Recipients and Living Kidney Donors

Evaluations are generally performed on an outpatient basis.

Recipient options include evaluations for:

• Living related Kidney Transplantation
• Living unrelated Kidney Transplantation
  • Donors can be family, friends or a spouse. A living donation is the preferrable option for the recipient as there is no waiting, the life span of the kidney is usually longer, and the surgery can be conveniently scheduled.
• Deceased Donor Kidney Transplantation
  • If a recipient has no living donors, they can be placed on the UNOS deceased donor registry

Living Kidney Donor

• Kidney donation can be an important but difficult decision. We offer educational materials and can answer questions to help the donor make a well educated decision.

We offer Laparoscopic Nephrectomy with the advantage of less pain after surgery, reduced hospital stay, and faster recovery time.
