The Women's Wellness Program

The Women's Wellness focus of the Health Improvement Program is designed to meet the unique needs of improving the physical health of women.

Though the program is designed for women of all ages, it provides wonderful opportunities for women to address mid-life health concerns through exercise, nutrition, education, and support.

The program can benefit all women, including those who want to:

  • Make a healthy adjustment to menopause
  • Recover from gynecological surgery or joint replacement
  • Reduce the risk of skeletal fracture due to osteoporosis
  • Alleviate other health problems, such as diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol, or excessive weight

The components of the Women's Wellness Program include:

  • Individual exercise prescription including:
  • Cardiovascular exercise regimen
  • Weight training instruction
  • Fitness classes (low impact aerobics, stretching, toning, core conditioning, step aerobics, Yoga, Nia)
  • Guidance from our health professionals - a team of Nurses, Exercise Specialists, and Dietitians
  • Mid-Life Support Group Resource Library and monthly meetings (support group and lectures)
  • Nutritional education and Cooking Classes available for an additional fee
