In April 2007, Presbyterian expanded oncology services in order to meet New Mexico’s growing need for quality cancer care.

The new and enhanced services at the Cancer Center at Presbyterian include medical oncology and hematology, surgical oncology and radiation oncology.

The M. D. Anderson Cancer Center Radiation Treatment Center at Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital brings the nation’s leading name in cancer care to New Mexico with a board-certified radiation oncologist now offering patients the choice of M. D. Anderson radiation therapy practices and protocols. Surgical oncology services continue to be provided through Presbyterian Medical Group.

In September, medical oncology and hematology services opened with the addition of three board-certified oncologists. Together, with experienced nurses and staff, the Cancer Center’s oncologists and surgeons are now providing inpatient and outpatient cancer care, incorporating the latest research and treatment options to deliver individualized care for our patients.
