Presbyterian Celebrates 100 Years

Presbyterian Healthcare Services will celebrate its Centennial on October 24, 2008. We hope to create a year of celebration with multi-faceted, unique and rich activities that reflect the creativity and diversity of our state and connects deeply with our employees and the communities we serve.

Centennial Events

You may have already seen our weekly Centennial advertisement series in the Albuquerque Journal. On September 21st the Journal will publish a special section honoring Presbyterian and our 100th birthday. You may want to watch for this and pick up a copy.

On August 23rd, we will be announcing our community gift at the Foundation’s Annual Laughter is the Best Medicine event. Howie Mandel is the featured entertainer. Tickets are $160 per person and are available by contacting Melanie Hitchcock at (505) 724-6586.

In mid-October, Presbyterian will be publishing The First 100 Years, a historical book that will be available to the public. This hard-back book will include photos, memories and interviews as it recounts our First One Hundred Years and will be available at all Presbyterian Volunteer Gift shops.

On October 23rd at 4:30 PM, First Presbyterian Church will host a Centennial Eve non-denominational church service with a reception following.

On October 24th at 10:30 AM, each Presbyterian site will gather for our Centennial Birthday ceremony.
