Student Summer Internships
The Presbyterian Healthcare Services Summer Internship Program will be held from June 2 - July 11, 2008.
This program gives graduating high school students and older students an opportunity to experience a wide array of exciting healthcare careers by rotating through a variety of departments within the healthcare setting. Students observe healthcare professionals in clinical areas and rotate through administrative, clerical, housekeeping, security and other services that make up hospital delivery settings.
The goal of the program is to educate the students about the complexities of healthcare delivery systems and the many jobs that are available within these settings.
Criteria for Selection
- Student must have a 3.0 GPA
- Student must be in college or a graduating high school senior
- Student must commit to the full time of the program (40 hours a week for 6 weeks)
- Student must have a career interest in the health care industry
- Student has completed and submitted the application and all required documents postmarked by the March 28, 2008 deadline
How to Apply
Applications should be sent to Presbyterian Healthcare Services Human Resources Department. Follow the steps below in completing the application. (All applications and supporting documents must be received by March 28, 2008.)
- Complete the Presbyterian Internship Application (attached)
- Submit 2 letters of recommendation with your application
- Submit verification of current immunizations from your physician
- Submit school verification of your current GPA
- Submit written objectives for your program
- Submit a letter of interest: In 300 words or less, tell us why you are interested in participating in the Summer Student Internship Program
- Secure your parent or guardian's signature, if you are under the age of 18
- Send your application and supporting documentation to:
