Presbyterian Healthplex Prenatal/Postpartum Fitness
Healthplex Prenatal/Postpartum Fitness
Women who participate in regular exercise throughout pregnancy report lower levels of discomfort during pregnancy and labor. Exercise during pregnancy is also a great way to control excess weight gain, relieve stress, and strengthen muscles used during labor. Women that exercise regularly throughout pregnancy recover more quickly than those who do not exercise. With moderate levels of exercise you can develop or maintain cardiovascular and muscular fitness throughout your pregnancy and post-partum period.
Prenatal/Postpartum exercise classes at the Presbyterian Healthplex will guide you through safe exercise leading up to the birth of baby as well as the weeks following the birth to help you get in and stay in shape.
