Pregnancy
Blankets. Diapers. Bottles. Coos. Changes to your lifestyle -- and to your body. Now, more than ever, it's time to take care of yourself. And the ones you love wouldn't have it any other way.
More babies are born at Presbyterian Hospital than in any other hospital in New Mexico.
We welcome the opportunity to help you prepare for the birth of your child. Whether you are looking for the perfect hospital to have your baby, a childbirth class and classes for siblings or you want a book on pregnancy, the Presbyterian Women's Center is here for you. Our prenatal education program offers classes to meet the varying needs of parents throughout pregnancy, birth, and the early parenting experience.
And After the Baby Arrives
Presbyterian's Mother/Baby Follow-up Program provides continuity of care. Care is provided through clinic visits as well as telephone follow-up. Home visits can also be arranged. Nurses in the program are specially trained in assisting new mothers in caring for and feeding their new babies. This contact benefits new families by providing early detection of jaundice, infections and breastfeeding
