Presbyterian’s government payer experience featured in Modern Healthcare

May 30, 2019In the News

Presbyterian Health Plan president Brandon Fryar shares expertise from the health plan's extensive experience with government programs such as Medicaid and Medicare with Modern Healthcare.

The article explores how health plans are increasingly investing in care coordination and programs to address the social and environmental health needs of complex patients--- key tenants to a successful value-based care model.

"You have to do things lean and mean," Fryar says, explaining that many of Presbyterian Health Plan's value-based programs are started within government programs before exporting them to commercial payors.  "You have to be creative. You have to be innovative."
