Presbyterian’s Community Growers’ Market Returns Tomorrow

June 29, 2015

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – For the fourth consecutive year, Presbyterian Healthcare Services, in partnership with Albuquerque Uptown Growers' Market, is hosting a community growers' market every Tuesday, beginning tomorrow, through October 2015 to encourage healthy eating among its staff, patients and the community.

To help community members access healthier food options, the market at Presbyterian Hospital in Downtown Albuquerque will feature a variety of locally-grown fruits and vegetables, locally baked goods, homemade candy, local honey, herbal skin care products, handmade crafts and more.

The market will be located at the northeast end of the Presbyterian Hospital campus, in the parking lot on Central Avenue between Spruce and Sycamore. Market hours will be from 7 a.m. to noon.

Presbyterian's Growers' Market will offer the two-for-one double value program for recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as food stamps. SNAP customers will be matched up to $20 per market visit.
