September 21, 2015

ESPAÑOLA, N.M. – As part of its annual health fair, Presbyterian Medical Group will provide FREE flu shots, pneumonia and TDAP (Whooping Cough) vaccines until vaccines are gone. The health fair will take place in the main lobby at Presbyterian Española Hospital (PEH) on Saturday, October 10. Hours are 8 a.m. to noon.

PEH will also offer blood pressure checks and FREE bike helmets until supplies are gone. Healthcare vendors will be available to share information on PEH’s community based programs for diabetes, home care and first time mothers. Individuals can also receive assistance signing up for MyChart and Medicaid.

The 2015-2016 flu vaccine will protect against four strains of seasonal flu:

Flu shots are offered to individuals 2 years and older. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that everyone six months and older receive the flu vaccine.
