Socorro General Hospital And Socorro Striders And Riders Host 11th Annual Run For Your Life 5k And One Mile Walk

SOCORRO, N.M. – As part of Presbyterian Healthcare Services’ commitment to improve the health of New Mexicans, Socorro General Hospital has partnered with Socorro Striders and Riders to present the 11th Annual Run for Your Life 5K and One Mile Walk on Saturday, September 19 to encourage people of all ages to be active.

This year, there will be a “Superheroes for Health” costume contest and participants are encouraged to come dressed as a Superhero. The most creative kid and adult costumes will each win prizes.

The race begins at the Socorro City Plaza, loops around New Mexico Tech and returns to the plaza. The top finishing runners by age group will receive medals. Trophies will be given to teams with the highest number of participants. All participants will receive a t-shirt and water bottle, a safe course and post-race refreshments.

WHO: Members of the community are invited to participate in this event.

WHEN:Saturday, September 19 – sign-up ends at 8:15 a.m.

Race Fees:
Adults: 5K Run, 5 K Walk $20
Adults: One Mile Walk $15
K-12: 5K Run, 5K Walk, One Mile Walk $10
