ALBUQUERQUE, NM – As part of a global effort to recognize and encourage efforts to improve the healthcare experience for patients, their families and caregivers, Presbyterian Healthcare Services recognizes the third annual Patient Experience Week, April 25-29, 2016.
“The purpose of Patient Experience week is to recognize and thank staff who help create exceptional experiences every day and to thank our patients and their families for allowing us to participate in their care,” said Kathy Davis, RN, Senior Vice President and Chief Experience Officer, Presbyterian Healthcare Services. “Presbyterian has a legacy of caring for this community for 108 years. We continue to focus our efforts on ways we can improve our patients’ experience.”
Patient Experience Week is led by The Beryl Institute, an independent organization committed to improving the patient experience in healthcare. Throughout the week organizations across the country celebrate accomplishments, reenergize efforts and honor the people who impact the patient experience every day.
Presbyterian plans to celebrate this week and honor our staff and providers in a variety of ways including department and clinic celebrations, sharing staff photos and recognitions on bulletin boards, sharing testimonials from patients with staff at meetings and more.
