ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation has received a $1 million gift from Radiology Associates (RAA) to support construction of the new medical center in Santa Fe. In honor of this generous gift, RAA will receive prominent recognition in the new facility.
RAA, a valued partner to Presbyterian for more than 30 years, is an Albuquerque-based physician group committed to delivering quality imaging services. RAA operates as a hospital-based radiology group providing professional services 24 hours a day, seven days a week to Presbyterian facilities across the state. RAA also owns and operates three outpatient imaging facilities.
"Radiology Associates of Albuquerque is fortunate to be aligned with Presbyterian Healthcare Services as their statewide partner for professional radiology services," said Kent Hootman, MD, President, RAA. "We are excited by the new opportunities that will arise from the opening of their new medical center in Santa Fe and are honored to be an early contributor to the Foundation's fundraising efforts. We encourage those who are able to join us in this support to bring Presbyterian's strength and commitment to the residents in and near Santa Fe."
"With thisgift, RAA is helping bring to life a new vision for healthcare in Santa Fe," said Clay Holderman, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Presbyterian Healthcare Services. "The medical center is being designed to meet the needs of our patients, who want care that is convenient, coordinated and less costly. We are grateful for the support of RAA and our ongoing partnership to improve the health of the communities we serve across New Mexico."
Scheduled to open in 2018, the new 342,000-square-foot medical center is being built on approximately 40 acres in the Las Soleras development between Cerrillos Road and I-25. The medical center represents a $135 million investment and is designed to provide more choice and greater access to care for residents of Santa Fe County.
