Free Flu Shots Available on October 13

CLOVIS, N.M. -- FREE flu shots will be available on October 13 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Presbyterian Medical Group Pediatric Clinic at Plains Regional Medical Center,  2200 W. 21st street in Clovis.

Free flu shots will be available for community members who are 18 years and older. 

The 2018-2019 flu vaccine will protect against four strains of seasonal flu:

  • Influenza A H3N2-type virus
  • Influenza A H1N1-type virus
  • Two Influenza B-type viruses

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that everyone six months and older receive the flu vaccine.  Families should contact their child's primary care provider to receive a properly dosed flu shot.
