ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. Presbyterian Hospital* was recently recognized by Healthgrades® as one of America's 250 Best Hospitals and one of America's 100 Best Hospitals for stroke, critical and pulmonary care in 2019. Presbyterian is the only hospital in New Mexico to receive these four distinctions.

Healthgrades, the leading online resource for comprehensive information about physicians and hospitals, uses Medicare patient data (2015-2017) to evaluate the performance of nearly 4,500 hospitals nationwide for 32 of the most common inpatient procedures and conditions.

"We are honored to be recognized by Healthgrades as one of the 250 best hospitals in the country, and for our work in important clinical areas such as stroke, critical and pulmonary care," Jason Mitchell, M.D., chief medical officer, Presbyterian Healthcare Services. "These awards demonstrate Presbyterian's commitment to providing quality care to our patients and members. We are grateful to our physicians, nurses and all of our care teams for their hard work and dedication."

"Hospitals that have achieved the Healthgrades America's 100 Best Hospitals for Critical Care, Pulmonary  and  Stroke Care distinctions have proven their dedication to quality care and exceptional outcomes," said Brad Bowman, M.D., Chief Medical Officer at Healthgrades. "Consumers should consider hospital quality when navigating their care journeys, and this recognition distinguishes Presbyterian Hospital in the marketplace."
