ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Presbyterian Healthcare Services announced that it has partnered with The Solutions Group, a leading provider of employee wellness and assistance programs throughout the southwest. The agreement puts Presbyterian in a unique position to fill the health needs of employers by adding high quality, comprehensive employer health and wellness programs to its provider network, hospitals, population health and disease management services.
“The Solutions Group partnership will help us to expand our efforts to improve the health of individuals while supporting employers in their efforts to reduce the overall costs of medical care,” said Lauren Cates, senior vice president of market development and operational planning at Presbyterian.
The Solutions Group will continue to service its existing clients and plans to expand its outreach by developing and delivering wellness and employee assistance programs to even more employers throughout the region regardless of medical insurance carrier. Presbyterian Health Plan will also use The Solutions Group to provide health and wellness services in combination with commercial medical insurance, giving employer groups the ability to partner with a single provider for comprehensive benefits, health and wellness programs.
“Employers increasingly understand the need to help their employees become as healthy as possible, both physically and emotionally,” said Susan MacLean, president and CEO of The Solutions Group. “Presbyterian’s investment in our company demonstrates their commitment to providing all employee groups with comprehensive benefits programs that can be designed for their employee populations.”
Founded in 1999 by Susie Maclean and Adam Stern, The Solutions Group has 13 employees, 60 employee assistance program clients – including Presbyterian Healthcare Services – and 20 wellness clients throughout the southwest. As part of the agreement, The Solutions Group will retain its brand, staff and Albuquerque office location. MacLean, co-founder of The Solutions Group, will become executive director of health and wellness at Presbyterian Healthcare Services.
