Presbyterian Receives Consumer Choice Award

October 21, 2013
ALBUQUERQUE, NM –For the 18th year in a row, Presbyterian Hospital has received the 2013/2014 Consumer Choice Award for Albuquerque. Winners were announced in the October 21 edition of Modern Healthcare magazine.
Each year, the National Research Corporation (NRC) honors hospitals that consumers rate as having the best quality and image, as well as the best nurses and physicians, based on their market survey of over 270,000 households. This is the 18th year NRC has recognized hospitals for their high quality care and is the 18th year Presbyterian Hospital has won. Only 37 other hospitals across the nation have this distinction.
“At Presbyterian Hospital, our care team strives to provide the highest-quality care for patients every day.” said Sandra Podley, Presbyterian Hospital Administrator. “We are very proud to be recognized by the people we serve with a Consumer Choice Award.”
NRC’s survey is the nation’s largest and most comprehensive study of its kind. No other study measures hospital performance and preferences and contains more consumer responses than NRC’s study. The study has a margin of error of + or – 0.2 percent at a national level.
