SOCORRO, N.M. – Socorro General Hospital (SGH) was named a Top Performer for Excellence in Quality and Patient Satisfaction by the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH) and iVantage Health Analytics last month.
SGH joined two other Presbyterian regional hospitals, Lincoln County Medical Center and Dr. Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital, in earning the recognition for Excellence in Quality. SGH also earned top performer recognition for Excellence in Patient Satisfaction. A total of five New Mexico rural hospitals reached top performance status in Quality, Patient Satisfaction and Efficiency compared to all acute care hospitals in the nation.

Ratings were determined by The Hospital Strength Index™, developed by iVantage Health Analytics to recognize top performing hospitals based on key metrics critical to success in healthcare. The Hospital Strength Index™ is based on eight performance categories, measuring 56 different metrics. It offers hospital executives, trustees and boards of directors an objective way to measure performance internally and among their peers. Data used to produce The Hospital Strength Index™ are available from several public sources, primarily the federal government.
