Welcome from our Chief Nursing Officer

Professional Nursing at Presbyterian embodies the best of our past and the brightest of our future.Today we stand proudly on a foundation built by nurses for over 100 years, and we look to the future with great anticipation. From the very beginning, our organization has been focused on helping the people of New Mexico. We have carried this tradition since our beginning as a four-room cottage throughout our growth into the largest healthcare organization in the state with eight hospitals, over 40 outpatient clinics, a health plan, and some 3,000 nurses statewide.

The geography in New Mexico is as unique as Presbyterian – each providing a diverse and exciting variety of opportunities. Our land is rich with culture and history, as well as booming industry and growth opportunities (not to mention great food, fantastic people and beautiful landscapes). From large urban settings to small rural facilities, Presbyterian offers a wide variety of practice venues for nursing. Our nurses practice in hospitals, ambulatory care sites, patient homes, and through telemedicine links over the internet. We offer a variety of specialties, programs and practice settings for graduate nurses, RNs, LPNs, nurse mid-wives, clinical nurse specialists, and nurse practitioners.

Presbyterian has invested heavily in technology and automation, giving our nurses access to the most advanced electronic systems to allow them to excel in caring for their patients. Through committed pursuit of national excellence, Magnet status, and an environment focused on quality, teamwork, and rewarding educational and professional development opportunities, Presbyterian is dedicated to ensuring that you have the best possible healthcare system in which to practice – today, and into the next 100 years.

I encourage you to explore the rich opportunities at Presbyterian.

Sincerely,

Kathleen Davis RN, MBA, CNAA-BC
Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services & Chief Nursing Officer
