To reach the Plains Regional Medical Center emergency department: From W 21st Street, look for the red “Emergency” signs indicating the entrance road for the emergency department. We have dedicated parking located on the east side of the medical center, directly in front of the emergency department entrance. Please see map below.

Plains Regional Medical Center’s 24-bed Emergency Room is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with our specially-trained emergency medicine physicians and advanced practice clinicians. Our team is trained to care for patients of all ages, from children to adults. We can diagnose serious medical illnesses, such as chest pain, severe shortness of breath, heart attack or stroke symptoms, seizures or trauma, and advise a treatment plan. Our team also can call on the experience of our general and orthopedic surgeons to provide consultations and perform many types of surgeries without needing to transfer patients to another facility.
