Hematology/Oncology providers at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis specialize in the study, diagnoses, and treatment of cancer (oncology) and blood disorders (hematology). This location also offers radiation oncology and infusion services for chemotherapy. Our oncologists in Clovis also work closely with our Cancer Care team in Albuquerque if other support is needed.

Some of the common diagnoses we treat at this location include:

  • Breast cancer

  • Urologic cancers such as prostate, testicular, bladder and kidney cancer

  • Melanoma

  • Gastroenterologic cancers such as colorectal, anal, esophageal, pancreatic and stomach cancer

  • Lung cancer

  • Head and neck cancer

  • Lymphoma, leukemia and multiple myeloma

  • Iron-deficiency anemia and other anemias

  • Hypogammaglobulinemia

Some of the common tests and treatments we provide include but are not limited to:

  • Immunotherapy

  • Targeted therapy (treatments that focus on specific parts of cancer cells)

  • Chemotherapy for different types of cancer

  • IV iron infusions and IVIG immune support

  • Help with symptoms and side effects, such as blood transfusions, IV fluids for dehydration, and pain relief

  • Reviewing and explaining test results like CT or MRI scans, biopsies, ultrasounds, and lab work

  • Coordination of care with our radiation oncologist and surgeons as needed
