The Presbyterian pediatric and adult congenital cardiologists at Presbyterian Santa Fe Medical Center specialize in diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart disease in fetuses, newborns, infants, children and adults. Our congenital care team includes board certified pediatric cardiologists and pediatric interventionalists at our clinic in Santa Fe. Our Albuquerque team includes a pediatric and adult cardiothoracic surgeon for complex surgery when needed.

Conditions we care for at this location include:

  • Chest pain

  • Cardiac and pulmonary hypertension (high blood pressure)

  • Fetal and perinatal cardiology

  • Down syndrome cardiac care

  • Cardiac imaging, including electrocardiogram, echocardiography and ultrasound

  • Inherited heart rhythm disorders (arrhythmias), including Brugada

  • Heart murmurs

  • Valve disorders and defects

  • Atrial septal defect (ASD)

  • Cardiomyopathy

  • Endocarditis

  • Ebstein’s anomaly

  • Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy

  • Patent ductus arteriosus (PDA)

  • Pericarditis

  • Tricuspid atresia

  • Truncus arteriosus

  • Ventricular septal defect (VSD)

  • Surgical care for more complex cardiac issues at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, including:

    • Transcatheter pulmonary valve replacements (Melody and Harmony procedures)

    • ASD, VSD and PDA device closures

    • Pulmonary, tricuspid, mitral and aortic valvuloplasty

    • Repair of pectus excavatum and carinatum
