The Presbyterian Heart and Vascular Care interventional cardiologists and electrophysiologists on Carmel Ave. specialize in diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the heart, arteries and related blood vessels. Our cardiac care team includes board certified cardiologists, as well as physician assistants (PA-Cs) and certified nurse practitioners (CNPs) at our clinic in Albuquerque’s northeast heights.

Some services we provide at this location include:

  • 24/7 care for cardiac emergencies through the Presbyterian Hospital and Rust Medical Center emergency rooms and on-site catheterization (cath) labs

  • Diagnosis and treatment for:

    • Heart attack, heart failure, coronary artery disease

    • Congenital heart defects

    • Heart valve disorders and disease

    • Cardiac and pulmonary hypertension (high blood pressure)

    • Cardiac arrhythmia, heart rhythm disorders, and irregular heartbeat

  • General cardiac screening, including nuclear and exercise stress tests and genetic screenings

  • Cardiac imaging, including cardiac CT, echocardiography, vascular ultrasound and nuclear medicine

  • Holter monitor, pacemaker and cardiac device placement

  • Minimally invasive surgeries at Presbyterian Hospital including TAVR, Watchman, LAOO

  • Catheter-based procedures, including coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention and left atrial appendage occlusion

  • Referral to cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, if needed
