Nurse Residency and Fellowship Programs at Presbyterian Healthcare Services in New Mexico

Presbyterian is committed to supporting new graduates and experienced nurses through our Nurse Residency and Fellowship programs. Located in New Mexico, these programs are designed to provide nurses with the tools required to deliver safe, high-quality care to our patients and communities.

  • The Nurse Residency program is designed for registered nurses who have graduated and become licensed within the last 12 months.

  • The Nurse Fellowship program is designed for experienced registered nurses who are interested in changing nursing specialties.

Program Highlights

  • Coordinator rounding and mentorship

  • Peer-to-peer debriefing and support group

  • Monthly dedicated classroom time focused on professional nursing and skill development at the Healthcare Advanced Learning Lab (HALL)

  • Preceptor-supported clinical orientation

  • Immersion into nursing practice with presentations from key guest speakers within Presbyterian and the community

Presbyterian Transition to Practice Nurse Residency Program is accredited as a Practice Transition Program by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation in Practice Transition Programs.
