Presbyterian and UnityPoint Health partnership

Presbyterian and UnityPoint Health recently signed a definitive agreement that signals a commitment from both organizations to continue moving forward on the creation of a new, not-for-profit organization.

Here is key information and clarification about this proposed new organization that we want to share with you as a valued partner:

  • This partnership is primarily focused on administrative efficiencies in areas such as technology and does not impact the service we provide today. These administrative efficiencies are aimed to allow us to increase our investment in innovation, workforce development and accelerating value-based care.

  • Presbyterian Health Plan will continue to have a local, community-based board of directors and leadership team. Our focus will remain on serving New Mexicans with their health care coverage.

  • There are no changes to Presbyterian Health Plan and its operations as a result of this proposed partnership.

  • There are no changes to contracts with customers as a result of this proposed partnership.

We will continue to keep you informed about developments in this process but again, we do not anticipate changes to the care and coverage we provide today.
