LCMC earns four-star rating from CMS

November 22, 2023Our Stories

In recognition of its commitment to patient quality and safety, Lincoln County Medical Center has earned four-star ratings for both overall quality and patient satisfaction from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Lincoln County Medical Center is one of only four hospitals in New Mexico to earn an overall four-star rating from CMS and the only facility in southern New Mexico to achieve the recognition. No New Mexico hospital earned five stars.

“We are proud of the clinicians and staff at Lincoln County Medical Center who provide excellent care to our patients every day,” said Todd Oberheu, hospital chief executive at LCMC. “This is another recognition of their dedication to quality care.”

CMS scores hospitals across the country on quality measures, including timely and effective care, complications, unplanned hospital visits, maternal health and value of care. The CMS ratings also measure data from patient surveys.
