Plains Regional to begin women's care program

April 7, 2022FeaturedPress Release

Plains Regional Medical Center (PRMC), owned and managed by Presbyterian Healthcare Services since 1975, exists to improve the health of the Clovis community. For 37 years, PRMC staff and providers have delivered thousands of babies and cared for thousands of women in partnership with local women’s health care providers. PRMC is committed to continuing that care for many years to come.

Women’s Medical Center recently notified the community that they would be closing clinic operations on June 10. The providers and staff at that facility have cared for many Clovis families over the years in close partnership with PRMC, and our team is grateful for the service they’ve provided our community.

To ensure the Clovis community continues to have access to quality women’s health care, PRMC will start its own women’s care service in the coming months. Two new physicians have already been hired to focus on obstetrics and gynecological care, ranging from prenatal, birthing and postnatal care.

“Ensuring access to women’s care is critical for our community,” said Jorge Cruz, hospital chief executive, PRMC. “We are honored to continue this important service and hope to provide a seamless transition for patients.”

Patients who wish to establish care can call Presbyterian Medical Group at 575-769-7577.
