Presbyterian developed the Site of Service initiative to ensure members have access to the care they need, when they need it and at the lowest out-of-pocket cost. The Site of Service initiative will help our providers guide members to accessible and cost-effective healthcare options. Having lower-cost options may also encourage members to get the care needed as prescribed by our providers.
Tests, Treatments and Procedures
Many common tests, treatments and procedures that are performed in a hospital can also be provided at more convenient and lower-cost locations. When certain procedures are done outside of a hospital-based facility, patients and members can save money on out-of-pocket costs.
