In recognition of its commitment to patient quality and safety, Plains Regional Medical Center has earned an overall four-star rating for quality from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
Plains Regional Medical Center is one of only four hospitals in New Mexico to earn an overall four-star rating from CMS. No New Mexico hospital earned five stars.
“Our teams at Plains Regional Medical Center are committed to providing safe, quality care to our patients every day,” said Bill Priest, hospital chief executive. “This rating honor their hard work and dedication to caring for our community.”
CMS scores hospitals across the country on quality measures, including timely and effective care, complications, unplanned hospital visits, maternal health and value of care. The CMS ratings also measure data from patient surveys.
