Community Based Programs

Home Healthcare and Hospice

Home Healthcare

Plains Regional Medical Center Home Healthcare provides skilled care to patients who need specialized medical care and are considered homebound, but do not need the 24-hour monitoring of a hospital or nursing home.

Hospice

Plains Regional Medical Center Hospice provides physical, emotional, and spiritual support to terminally ill patients and their families. Our multidisciplinary team helps patients maintain their dignity, comfort, and quality of life in the face of terminal illness.

Plains Regional Cancer Center

Plains Regional Cancer Center offers comprehensive cancer services close to home, including hematology/oncology, surgery, chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Our medical staff includes medical oncologists and radiation oncologists using advanced technology, including:

  • Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy

  • Treatment Simulator

In addition to clinical care, Plains Regional Cancer Center offers support services for our patients, including counseling, pastoral care, physical therapy and rehabilitation, home health care, hospice, financial assistance and community/educational services.

Plains Regional Medical Center Pharmacy

We know how busy your life can be. That's why we're making it easy and convenient to see your doctor and manage your prescriptions, all in one place. The Plains Regional Medical Center Pharmacy offers:

  • Convenient drive-thru service for drop off and pick up

  • Refill requests, available through your smartphone, tablet, or computer

  • Pick-up alerts when your prescriptions are ready

  • Assistance with prior authorization forms

  • Over-the-counter medications, for the treatment of common health conditions

  • Special order prescriptions

  • Pharmacists who are available to provide health advice and answers to medication questions

Radiology, Lab, and Ultrasound Services

Radiology

Services include diagnostic radiology, ultrasound imaging, vascular ultrasound imaging, PET/CT scans, digital mammography, computerized tomography (CAT Scans), bone density testing, nuclear medicine, echocardiography, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Laboratory

Services include medical testing to help prevent, diagnose, and manage health-related problems and diseases.​

Rehabilitation Services

We offer a wide range of therapy and support options for patients recovering from strokes, neurological and orthopedic conditions, as well as other illnesses, injuries, chronic conditions, and disabilities. Our therapy services are offered on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. Services include physical, occupational, speech, and cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation.

Sleep Medicine

Sleep Medicine offers a full range of diagnostic services to identify and treat disorders that prevent healthy, regular sleep. Our specially trained professionals offer consultations and sleep studies in comfortable, home-like environments using specialized equipment and technology to accurately diagnose sleep problems and recommend the correct treatment.
