Resources for New Mexicans impacted by fires

Presbyterian is committed to helping our friends, families and neighbors impacted by wildfires throughout our state. If you’ve been directly impacted by the fires, get to know the resources available to you from Presbyterian and other organizations.

Presbyterian Health Plan Individual and Employer Group Members

Presbyterian is with you and we’d like you to know about additional flexibilities provided to members on an individual plan or their employer’s plan that reside in one of the affected counties.

The affected counties are:

  • Colfax
  • Lincoln
  • Mora
  • Sandoval
  • San Miguel
  • Sierra
  • Valencia

If you reside in one of these counties, the following benefits may be extended to you:

  • You may receive a grace period of 90 days and payment plan for up to 6 months, if unable to pay your premiums
  • Cost-sharing and deductibles waived for 120 days
  • Prescription refill early for 60 days
  • One eyeglass or contact lens and one hearing aid replacement, according to your benefits
  • Denture or other prosthodontic device replacement, according to your benefits
  • Disposable medical supplies and durable medical equipment (DME) replacement
  • Presbyterian will postpone cancellations and non-renewals for no less than 120 days
  • Presbyterian will waive referrals and prior auth requirements for out-of-network (OON) services and cover the cost

Presbyterian Health Plan Medicare Members

For Medicare members residing in one of the affected counties, the following benefits have been extended:

  • You may seek services from an out-of-network provider without the need for a referral and your services will be covered at the in-network rate
  • You may refill your prescriptions early and receive the maximum extended-day supply
  • You may fill a prescription at any pharmacy in New Mexico

It is ok to feel anxious, fearful or sad about the impact of the fires on your life. Call (866) 254-3555 to talk to one of our qualified professionals for free and get the mental and emotional support you need. This service is available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

Evacuee lodging
