Wound and Ostomy Center
The Presbyterian Wound and Ostomy Center, located in Albuquerque, provides wound assessment and treatment, as well as ostomy services. Our staff partners with physicians and patients to make use of a variety of wound care products and therapies help to decrease your pain and allow for faster healing. Our team consists of board-certified wound specialists including clinical nurse specialists, nurse practitioners, nurses, physicians and podiatrists.
Conditions Treated
We provide treatment for all types of wounds, including but not limited to:
Diabetic foot ulcers
Venous ulcerations
Arterial ulcers
Pressure ulcers
Second-degree burns
Post-traumatic wounds
Surgical wounds that are not properly healing
Abnormal wounds
We also offer case management for chronic wounds or complex cases, wound prevention through education and long-term follow-up care, as well as coordination of treatment with other providers or services.

Pre-operative education and stoma site marking
Pouch system fitting

Introduction to a different pouching system
Hernia belt measurement
Stoma assessment, if there is a problem with the appearance of the stoma
Development of problem-solving plans
General assistance with stoma problems
