8th Annual ABQ CiQlovía – Walk, Ride, Play

Date(s):

This event has expired

Description:

The ABQ CiQlovia 2021 Planning Committee is proud to announce the 8th annual CiQlovía celebration, city-wide, on-line and on-the-ground! Between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., streets, sidewalks, trails and parks in Albuquerque will be dedicated to safe, fun, connected walking and biking activities for all ages and abilities. From 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. you can also take part in online activities.

This year, CiQlovía is envisioned to be an interactive virtual and physical festive event that celebrates the many ways people use our streets, sidewalks, trails and parks to be physically active and strengthen their communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Also throughout the week of October 11-17, there will be online events every day including a virtual 5K fun run, crafting tutorials, virtual bike rides, and virtual Zumba!

The 2021 event is presented in collaboration with Presbyterian Community Health, Bike thru Burque, the Healthy Here Initiative, MRCOG, International District Healthy Communities Coalition, Vision Zero, Bike ABQ, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and City of Albuquerque, among others.
