Four generations of Alisha Arreguin’s family were born at Presbyterian, where she now works as a nurse after spending years there with her daughter.
KOB 4 spoke with Arreguin as Presbyterian marks 100 years of growth from a cottage for tuberculosis patients into the largest hospital on Route 66.
Arreguin said she spent much of her life at Presbyterian. Her family’s connection started with her father and aunts, then continued with her and her siblings, her children and now her grandchildren.
“My dad and my aunts were born here, and then me and my brother and sister, and then my grand well, my children, and then my grandchildren,” said Alisha Arreguin.
She said that history shows how much trust her family has placed in the hospital over generations. Her most recent family birth there came in January.
“I think it highlights like how trusted Presbyterian is like as a healthcare institution,” said Arreguin.
