Presbyterian Santa Fe Medical Center is the most socially responsible hospital in New Mexico and the 16th in the country.
The rating is from the Lown Institute, a nonprofit health organization, which recently released its annual rankings for socially responsible hospitals across the country.
Out of more than 3,600 hospitals nationwide, Presbyterian Santa Fe Medical Center was one of only 54 to achieve “A”s on equity, value, and outcomes, earning a place on the Lown Index Honor Roll.
The rankings grade hospitals on 53 metrics across patient outcomes, value of care, and health equity.
Presbyterian Española Hospital placed second in New Mexico for social responsibility and Plains Regional Medical Center placed fourth.
